i signed a player in the offseason, he was an 80 OVR starting pitcher. Gets hurt in preseason for 160ish days. I put on 60 DL.

I took himnoff off the day before he was “better” and put him in the rotation for 2 games later. He pitched a great game. Just noticed he didn’t get a recovery bump, in fact, he dropped to 71 OVR.

Ahmad Nippert, I’ll try to post him below this.

How much do you have in medical? If it isn't $20M, that would also contribute to his subpar recovery.

If you had 20 he would have returned to at least pre injury form possibly more if left on long enough.

Don't ever take them off until they get their bumps, you took him off too soon

Medical has actually gotten worse. I used to be the medical king. Guy had a cough and got put on the 60 day DL, but even with 20 medical I have pitchers in their early 30's not getting back up to their old ratings again. Its not worth the money anymore.

I have not seen this. Everyone I put on the 60 gets equal to or better.

Yeah, I've only had one player not recover fully and he took a major ratings hit with his injury.

hockey1984 refers to the legends of the old "DL glitch." With 20 mil you could leave the player on the 60 past his healthy date and he'd continue to rack up, I heard of three and even four injury bumps. Not to say for certain that anything was changed by the previous admin, but it's been a few seasons now since I've had a player get more than the return to previous, then one extra.

With 20 mill medical and a makeup of 83 at 33 years of age Zeigler never made it back to full health.

Jude Jackson at 34 with an 84 Makeup never made it back to full health

I dunno. Maybe it effects guys over 30 now. I had a few guys early 20's get a huge ratings boost, but I was pretty upset about these two.

Injuries have gotten out of hand. I've had 4 high value pitchers get nailed in the last 3 seasons.

I recognize that my medical isn't that high, but this has trashed my future on the pitching side. The severity of injuries and the frequency in which it has happened, has soured me on this game.

Injuries happen less frequently here than in real life. They are part of the game. Stinson has a 56 health rating. Injuries are a risk that you take by having him. Sosa is unfortunate.

People view it as a waste but having medical and training at 20 mill each lets you go outside the norm which is nice. You can pick stud players in the draft that have lower health or get more value out of trades and FA because you know that all you are losing is time when your players go down.

Is it worth 20 million? I'd say not quite but you can't be half pregnant on this one. Its either 20 or 0.

Also its like car insurance. Its a waste of money until you need it. Then you are glad you have it.
