Can you sign two inelgibles in the same year? Topic

Or are you limited to one per session?

You can sign 2, but one of the only times I've had one go to JC is when I signed two. Someone probably has the actual correct answer, but with the sample size of my experience at 1, I've determined that signing two means 1 will not stay at the program.

I don’t know if there’s a limit, but you can definitely sign 2 ineligibles. I signed 2 last season and neither qualified. Both are sitting this season at Stanford.

I've heard coaches say 3. But i've never had more than 1 myself

I have signed two multiple times. Have never had a team good enough to pursue three in any year for reasons of a ten man rotation. So my final Jeopardy answer is two "Alex".

There used to be a rule against it but there isn't any more. You can sign two but the more you sign, the less likely they are to show up.

I signed 3 in Knight just a couple seasons ago. I've signed 2 several times. I haven't had any ineligibles go Juco in a very long time.

The one time I ever signed two inels, they both went Juco. My personal limit is 1.

There may have been a change from 2.0 to 3.0. It may have to do with prestige, promises or recruiting effort if a player decides to show up on your roster.

I bet it’s promises. Offer them PT and they will definitely show up to campus.

That's not true.

in 2.0, the amount of effort was certainly a factor in if the kid showed up and there was pretty much a cap on one ineligible per season.

In 3.0, it certainly seems as if the "going JUCO" likelihood is much lower and the the limit of one per season no longer applies.
