What were his potentials?

When I have tried guys like that, IQ growth has also been a challenge - did he get to around B+ ?

This all depends on potentials, could you add those?

Everything else was blacks and reds and oranges....I only put 7 or 3 in them in an attempt to maintain the skills.

B+/A- is better than I have got w very low WE guys, but I wasnt willing to give them starts/hi minutes consistently

sometimes worth a look but frustrating guys

Thanks TJ, very interesting. Starting with 3 vs. 1 actually makes a lot of difference.

darn good question - I have taken some guys and given them some mins FR and SO year, but then more and or starts JR and SR - once their IQ was not awful. But, the best case for extremely low WE is a guy who has starting skillz for you. Especially if he happens to play your offense and or defense. (Generally, the latter doesnt matter much, but w very low WE it helps)

this guy started w WE of 1 - and worked his way up to a WE of 2. Added just a few points over his entire career - but was a useful backup

I gave him about 15 minutes every season - and he contributed. He will graduate, I think and plans to live in his parents basement for the next 10 years
