The Current Democratic Coup Topic

Establishing DC Statehood or eliminating the Electoral College is more of a coup/more of a threat to our system of government than any QAnon larping viking ever was. The real coup is happening right now while everyone is distracted and feigning fear and anger. They (through a partisan press) control the media and social media. The Democrats will not relinquish control. The real liberals will realize once it's too late. Bye bye freedom. Bye America.

Please note the Democrats are only in favor of what increases their power. You'd be a chump to think Peloso & Co would push for DC Statehood if in some alternate reality it were a deep red city.

Coup: a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.

This is, almost to a T, what the terrorists attempted to do last week.

Now explain why adding DC as a state fits this definition.

Don't worry, I know you're too cowardly to defend your dumbass illogical opinions. Just like you're too cowardly to come back to old takes that you were blatantly wrong on and perhaps do some introspection. You've been consistently wrong. Your only correct prediction (to my knowledge) was that Biden would win, and even then the result was probably closer than you would have thought.

Feigning anger? Do we not have a right to be angry that terrorists, at the command of the President, stormed the capitol in an attempt to kill congresspeople and overthrow the legally held results of an election? Apparently it is you who feigned anger. You were the one raging that a police officer was killed during the BLM protests. Now a police officer gets bludgeoned to death by a mob (we're fortunate it was only one) and you are radio silent. But yeah, Twitter and Facebook bans some people because they broke TOS and planned an insurrection on their platform. That's the main issue of our day.

As for Democrats trying to increase their power, no ****. Was it a coup when Republicans pushed through ACB in a power grab? Do you think Republicans would support DC statehood if it was a deep red city? Both parties want to expand their power. It's just that the Republicans are better at it right now because they're bold and don't care about democracy or norms. Oh, but you don't support Republicans, right? You just consistently defend them and only attack the left. Oh well.

If you can find evidence that the Democrats are working with Twitter and other social media companies to silence conservatives, then I will condemn it unilaterally and take your accusations a lot more seriously. Until then, kindly STFU.

And a second capitol officer committed suicide from the emotional trauma and a third is likely to lose his eye.
many are still in the hospital from serious injuries.

Until last week, progressives never saw a riot they didn’t want to fellate. This summer they sent one to the White House—and did everything they could to pull its security. An improvised force had to be whipped together from various weird federal agencies. Trump was sent to a bunker. Which would be easy to blame on President Heel Spurs, but it wasn’t his call. (In fact, as the Times loves to say—he falsely denied it.) Sixty cops were injured—in full riot gear. In the Democrats' summer of love, mobs did $2 billion in damage.

Funny, twitter never thought inciting riots was much of a problem when the left was doing it. But, who cares, they hold all the power so they have the privilege of blatant hypocrisy too.

Three questions:

1. Do you SERIOUSLY believe that the protests in DC over the summer were more serious in scale than the insurrection last week?
2. Do you not believe there is any difference between protesting over police brutality and TRYING TO STAGE A COUP???
3. Did Democratic leaders organize those protests, make up false narratives to contribute to them, and specifically rile up the protesters to get them to fight on their behalf? (If yes, you're a lunatic)

I can't find a source for the 60 injured cops claim - but whatever. I did look it up and 60 cops were injured just yesterday, with around 15 hospitalized.

Oh yeah, and somehow force was able to be whipped together to stop BLM from even getting near the white house. Yet there's only around 5 cops sent to protect the entire capitol building from a MAGA mob.

And you're STILL too cowardly to defend your "DC statehood=coup" claim. You're ******* insane.

Why should we make DC a state?
1/13/2021 10:57 AM
Ask dc.

I've agreed with dahs in the past that a more reasonable solution is probably to incorporate DC into Maryland. Anything beyond that is probably a power grab. However, that sort of action is nothing new in Washington.

But to continue to refute guitarguy, if DC statehood is a coup, then what about gerrymandering? Redistricting? The foundation of the Senate which benefits Republicans to a massive degree? THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE?

There are so many institutional factors that favor Republicans right now. It's why they even have a chance of maintaining power despite having over 5 million fewer voters.

The COUP is all the repressive measures pushed by the left and their big tech allies in the wake of 1/6, justified, they say, by this "unprecedented" threat. The so-called "Resistance" is actually consolidating its power, its position, its hold on the minds of the American Public. AOC wants a commission on fighting misinformation. The list goes on. Essentially, it is ridiculous to compare the events of 1/6 to those of 9/11, but it will be eminently sane to compare the aftermath of each. Patriot Act 2.0 is coming...this time at the behest of the Democrats. I continue to be a staunch opponent of Patriot Act 1.0, for the record. If you could transport me back to 2002, I would be a registered Dem. Notwithstanding, the absolutely horrendous turn the party has taken. Wokism is America's cultural revolution. And all but the NPCs will suffer as a result of it.

Wylie, this will be my final word. You're welcome and good day.
