Their lack of personal attacks on Cuomo, as they'd be doing if he was Republican, is also upsetting, but not on as great a level.
Racist Hypocrites they are.

I'll explain the obvious differences for you and hopefully someone will quote my post.

The reason why protests and outcry are more prevalent and more needed in cases of police brutality vs the vice versa is twofold:
1. No one tries to justify police being killed by black people, but whenever a black person gets killed by police, pretty much every single conservative commentator comes out of the woodwork to talk about how you shouldn't resist arrest, bring up pictures of them holding a gun in the past even though 2A exists, or goes looking for any possible reason to support the police officer and justify the death. Protests and outcry are needed to swing the tide of public opinion and point out that police brutality is not justified. Guess what? The killers ARE going to get justice. No one thinks they shouldn't. You know why people called for Justice for George Floyd? Because there are tons of examples of police brutality that have gone unpunished. I remember the Chauvin trial. Conservatives were constantly trying to call for Chauvin to be acquitted. NO ONE is saying that the killers of police should go free.
2. The police are a governmental institution that should be accountable to the people. Random criminals are not accountable to anyone. The reason why you protest to change police behavior is to show that the community, the people the police serve to protect, is upset with their behavior. We CAN reform the police. There are specific policies that activists have pushed for. What the **** would protesting random criminals do? "Don't shoot police officers!!" OK??? They aren't accountable to the people. We can't vote for politicians who will change the cop killer departments?

Also, what the **** are you on about with Cuomo? Are we going to revise history to say that liberals thought Cuomo shouldn't step down, when in reality we were the people pushing for it the hardest? He resigned. GOOD. Most liberals don't want sexual harassers in office. Clearly, most conservatives don't care (see Trump, Donald).

Thank you wylie.
I'm sure the others will be like "It's so obvious, why should I say anything?"
The same people who claim other people's silence is the same as approval.

Thanks for the effort bronx, but all reading that did was reconfirm how uninterested in the truth tang really is. The things he lasts are far from the 1st things people note when an officer shoots someone, and I think on some level he actually knows that. As for his Cuomo comments, that was already blown out of the water b4 you reposted. As I recall from reposts, he's one of the biggest " silence is approval" people, yet I'd wager largely he never said anything negative about Cuomo, unlike Cavanaugh or any other Repub. Reading his twists on things, as I'm sure he'll do with my words here, just isn't worth my time.

Damn two very intellectual and thoughtful responses by all3 and CCCP, I love having my ideas challenged by conservatives in the free market of ideas :)

How much of our tax dollars was spent on this ridiculously STUPID wall concept by our former Moron in Chief???
Where's the outcry?
Many of us (well, at least ME) have been hollerin' about this stupid wall from the git-go. I tried to tell you how worthless it would be!

This is from The Guardian:

"When Donald Trump launched his presidential campaign in 2015 by saying Nobody builds walls better than me", it was to say the least a questionable claim.

Trump insisted the “great wall” he planned for the southern US border, to keep out unwanted migrants, would be “impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful”.

Like other pronouncements by the former president, who made his name in construction, the assertion did not hold water.

Neither, it seems, did the wall.

Photographs published on Gizmodo appear to show sections of the (still) partially constructed wall in southern Arizona in severe disrepair, torn apart by summer monsoon rains that the site said “literally blew floodgates off their hinges”.

At least six gates were washed out in a single location near Douglas, according to a quote on the website from José Manuel Pérez Cantú, director of an environmental nonprofit, Cuenca de Los Ojos.

Other sections of the wall were also hit by last week’s powerful monsoon. The Tucson Sentinel reported that a US Customs and Immigration Services official confirmed damage had been done.

Experts estimated the storm surge at one section of the wall, at Silver Creek, at up to 7.6m, or 25ft.

In 2020 when Trump was still in power, experts warned that floodgates in some places along the 701-mile, $21bn wall would need to be left open during heavy rains and flooding, to avoid collapse amid surges of tons of water carrying rocks, sediment, tree limbs and other debris.

Because of their remote locations, many of the gates would have to be manually opened and left unattended for months at a time, the Washington Post reported – potentially allowing for the easy entry into the US of smugglers and migrants.

It appears the gates were open during last week’s storms, but the wall was still no match for “historic flooding” after months of drought. According to The University of Arizona the Douglas area has this year received almost twice its average annual amount of monsoon rainfall.

Gizmodo blamed the failure at least partly on rushed construction and an alleged bypassing of environmental regulations.

Who could have predicted this? Ah yes, just about everyone,” author Brian Kahn wrote, linking to an article highlighting environmental threats the wall would encounter.

In January, Joe Biden froze construction on the border wall and ordered a review of costs. In April, the Department of Defense announced it was canceling contracts paid for from military funds appropriated by the Trump administration.

Trump always insisted that Mexico would pay for the wall.

Construction began in 2017 but the wall was beset by problems, including lawsuits and cost overruns.

Earlier this year we reported that sections costing $27million a mile could be easily scaled – using a $5 ladder."

END of Article.

I say.............
27 Million a mile.............to do what???
Impede the coyotes?
