Here is a list of players (over $500K) taken at least twice over the two leagues. Note that I considered salary as a difference, so Bill Bernhard has 10 instances of his $9.54 million 1902 season and 2 instances of his $9.37 million 1902 season.

There is a measure (I call it the Cookie Score) that I've come up with, that gives a numerical score to how common or uncommon your roster is, relative to oithers. If all 25 of your players was only taken once (i.e., only by you), your Cookie Score would be 1.000. I weight the number of occurances by salary, so having a popular $10 million player on your roster weighs much more than having a popular $200K player on your roster. Here are the Cookie Scores by owner. The average cookie score in this tournament is 1.835.

Often, the key to winning a league or tournament is drafting the right number of innings. Draft too many and you are wasting salary. Draft too few, and the fatigue death spiral will eventually take hold. Here are the number of innings drafted by each owner. I've split it out to show how many of the innings are from sub $500K guys which I've designated as mopup. The average per team is 1409 (1396 > 500K, 13 mopup)...

A total of 33 different ballparks were drafted (although some may be the same park, but a different name, or different franchise - I didn't check for that). It's not surprising that pitchers' parks dominant the top of the list. Fewer runs scored = fewer innings needed to draft = more salary spent on hitting and/or pitching quality.

What is the best allocation of your salary. Some prefer to spend a bit more on pitching, others want more offense. Not surprisingly, the league average is pretty close to 50/50. (i.e., $49.7 pitching, $50.3 on hitting)

A lot of teams don't have a mop.

The only Kershaw cookie is the '22 version. That's interesting...the only Speaker cookie is 1910.

I drafted a few more innings than usual, but my non-mop is less than 20 more than the 1,409 average. Perhaps i didn't overshoot.

that moment when you realize that 30+ teams in a tournament might have made you forget to fix something from another team... hoping i can avoid a death spiral...

You're in Petco, low OAV and decent K/9 numbers so you might survive. it might require a sacrifice of someone on the staff. Downing would get my vote. Manage it between every game, stay on top of pitch counts, below 90% is not terrible...

I survived a lower cap with DH with 1,125 recently, nearly 100 were mops....some of these offenses aren't world-beater types...

I went for higher range at SS, 2B and 1B, Johnston, Collins and Moon. Carey in CF too. I'm trying AT&T to make better use of that range, instead of Target. Our bats aren't terrific, but we should have enough, and we sport pretty decent OBP. Hopefully the defense, and deadball SP limit XBH considerably...

So is it good or bad that I have the most unique roster?
I also have the most IP. Makes me wonder if I wasted salary on too many innings?

I have 5 pitchers and 1 hitter that are dupes.

I have 1899 G Davis, who is on the dupe list twice for other years.

Pollett, Sabathia, 22 Kershaw, Rankin Johnson, Halladay. (wonder if they are all on the same team LOL)

Good posts; thanks for putting together. I probably spent more time than I should making judgements and comparisons, but at the end of the day, if my "cookie score" is any indication of success, I guess I'm in pretty good company. Ha.

Sacrifices had to be made defensively, but since I have ~630 adjusted IP of dead-ball starting pitching, I went with strong IF gloves/range (will be subbing 3B early with a lead - McGraw doesn't fit the definition of good glove/range, but his caddy Wisterzil does). Had to the OF slide a bit.
Was a bit surprised 2 others rostered the '22 Alcantara. I was determined to roster him to see if he's actually the value he appears to be, but didn't expect him to be "popular" (if you consider 3 iterations in total over 48 teams to meet that definition). The fact '47 Walker and '90 McGee were only taken twice each was also surprising to me. I consider them to be a excellent value at this cap.

I originally had McGraw penciled in at 3rd, but the errors scared me off. I took a decent fielding Boggs season ('91)...
