The 1-3-5-7-9 Franchise Draft tournament was a big hit and I wanted to try this with expansion teams. But there really aren't enough seasons for a viable full tournament, so I came up with a draft idea for a single 24-team league.
Basic Concept
The concept of this league is similar to the full 1-3-5-7-9 tournament. Upon sign-up, you will select one of the 14 expansion franchises (listed below) and an exclusive single season from that franchise (i.e., 2001 Mariners). You will get to roster ONE player from that team (you do not have to announce the player ahead of time). Once 24 owners have signed up and selected their franchise and season, round 2 will commence. The draft order for round 2 is the inverse order of the winning% of the season selected in round 1 (if win% is tied, the order is inverse of the round 1 selection order). Once each person has selected a second franchise and season, then round 3 will commence. The draft order for round 3 is in inverse order of the winning% of the season selected in round 2 (if win% is tied, the order is inverse of the round 2 selection order). This process continues for round 4 and round 5. Each person will have 5 seasons to build a roster from.
Here’s the catch…
In round 1, you must roster exactly 1 player from the team you selected.
In round 2, you must roster exactly 3 players from the team you selected.
In round 3, you must roster exactly 5 players from the team you selected.
In round 4, you must roster exactly 7 players from the team you selected.
In round 5, you must roster exactly 9 players from the team you selected.
Here's the other catch...
You cannot select a franchise more than once. You will have five different franchises represented on your team.

You can select partial or combined seasons.
