Upcoming Recruiting Changes Topic

We will be introducing 3 changes to recruiting within the next couple of weeks. Those changes include:

- Class sizes will be limited to a maximum of 6. That means that if a coach has 10 scholarships open, he/she can only fill 6 with freshman - the other 4 would have to be JUCOs or transfers. If a coach has 6 sophomores, he/she would not be able to sign a JUCO1 or a transfer with 3 years of eligiblity.

- AI schools will continue recruiting after signings begin and only go after undecided recruits.

- As the start of the signing period approaches, interest in a school will begin to decrease until the school makes a scholarship offer.

As soon as we have a firm release date, we will announce it.

A developer chat has been scheduled for Thursday, July 10th at 1pm EDT to answer questions:

Are jucos going to be any better now that players are 'forced' to sign them? As it stands right now even if they know your set there ratings/IQ are not to the level of a true So or Jr.

sounds like a great change

Its because juco's are the unrecruited players from the year before. And there is usually a reason why they aren't recruited in the first place.

what happens to nonqualifiers - I hope and assume that this will not mean that a nonqualifier will lose the chance to have an SR5 season if there already are 6 SR in that class - I would expect SR and SR5 to be treated as separate categories

what happens to redshirts - if I redshirted a guy last season, will that mean that I can bring in only FIVE freshmen, lest I have more than SIX freshmen, including the redshirt freshman???

I'm submitting these for the dev chat

I like this change also, super classes..bu-bye!

Nice, Superclasses are unrealistic. Can't wait to hear from those who have relied upon them.

Is there any way to get some upperclassman restrictions? 6 seniors and 6 juniors isnt exactly realistic either...

Great to finally get somewhat of an answer to our MANY questions.

Still no answer about backdooring a superclass or how this will affect teams who currently have 10 FR.

Thank you for making an effort to finally respond to this issue, Admin.

What does this mean? "AI schools will continue recruiting after signings begin and only go after undecided recruits"

So what happens if we have a 6 player class plus a RS from the season before? Will we be able to still recruit the 6 players if we want to RS one of them?
