True story. Suspend for a game or 2 is fine. Full season? No way.

He was projected to be a top RB in the NFL draft this season. It will be interesting to see how this will fare out with him. He still practicing with the team even though hes out this season.

It wasn't based just on the punch of the other teams player. He tried to fight his own teammates, he tried to get into the stands to go after fans, he was pushing cops and assistant coaches plus the problems he had with the team in preseason.

I really dont get this thread... you found the video online? Its only been playing on espn non stop for the past 2 days... Also this guy needs to be suspended the whole season....

1- He sucker punched a guy in the face

2- After he punched him he started jogging backwards while making an X with his arms.

3- As he was walking into the locker room he attempted to attack a fan who cursed at him

Why should he be allowed on the field? He obviously has terrible anger management problems. Combine all this with the fact that the NCAA is stressing sportsmanship and the coach had no choice but to suspend him for the season. The guy is a thug.

That Miami-FIU brawl that was way worse most of those guys wereonly suspended one game.

Blount is a thug! And when he acted like a "gangsta" he got treated like a gangsta....... and kicked to the streets. By the way, I only caught a part of the game but I am curious as to why Hout said something to him. Is Hout just a total idiot or was Blount maybe talking during the course of the game?

And for those who say he should be suspended for 1 or 2 games......you are crazy! Hout was lucky he didn't get hurt. See what happened to Rudy Tomjanovich (check my spelling) when he got sucker punched back in the 70's or 80's. For those that don't know, it was scary.

I praise Oregon for their actions.

Yeah because talking sh*t and punching someone in the face are the same thing. If you had a job and a co worker said something to you and you punched them in the face who do you think would be fired. And the Miami-FSU thing was a brawl, not an assault. When you sucker punch someone in the face and then act like a crazy thug then you deserve to be suspended for the year. You are the type of fan that loves watching the fights and trash talk in football, not actually watching the game.

Just because I think he should have a less suspension and the guy deserved it means nothing. Doesnt mean I like watching football players fight. Just some dumb rationalization you would expect from a kid in middle school.

I LOVE to watch the actual game, especially if it involves UNC or LSU.

He has been talking for a long time about the rematch. He went out and said the ducks are going to give them an *** whoopin, or something along those lines. Hout ended up giving him a little shove and saying "How you like that *** whoopin', fu**er?" His coach was there and tried to stop him. I'm shocked no punishment would go against his player. That is some great sportsmenship. /start of sarcasim/ I'm absolutely shocked why anyone would punch someone in the face who acts that way towards anyone. /end/

I'm an oregon fan through and through. Blount got what he deserved unfortunately. Especially with how the NCAA are trying to keep their reputation the way it is, if you punch a guy, try to fight your teammates, try and go after a fan, you deserve the full season. As much as it screws our season, blount deserved it. He lost his cool and you don't mess with mike belotti. Not as a coach, and especially not as the AD.

Should hout have gotten something besides a talking to? Sure and I'm ****** he didn't but none of that excuses what blount did. Excitement and trash talk is a small part of the game but punching a guy straight in the jaw? No. Blount knows that and he lowered his NFL draft status dramactically.

And you guys don't want delimas in the game.
