Real Life Things That Remind You Of HD Topic

The TV show the Real World. Because I used to like it, but eventually after several seasons it just became formulaic and wasn't fun anymore. So I just stopped.

TRUE FACT!

I thought it would be cool to go for a run up this really steep hill near me. It was tiring and exhaustive on the climb, but once I ran the course and reached the plateau at the top it was just boring and it made me sort of regret the time I spent on that uphill run. So then it went downhill and I in a hurry, and the departure was easy.

The US Congress. Meaningful change is constantly promised. Bureaucracy, short-sighted goals, and too many competing interests tend to screw up the results. Libertarianism is never considered as a viable option. (Don't know how that last one relates to HD. Just thought I'd throw it in there.)

People in casinos. Lots of different people making up lots of different strategies that they think gives them an advantage for winning. When, in the end, the odds are the odds and luck will pretty much determine the outcome.

yeah makes sense. I guess all the elite coaches are just lucky. That has to be it.

All the elite coaches recruit well. I've done pretty well myself in this game. Has very little to do with my "gameplanning". But way to take a "joke" thread seriously.

Recruiting reminds me of my love life:

How many times have I heard....

1) I'm really too good for you but, if no one better comes along, I'll let you spend money on me

2) You're nice, but I have other options I want to pursue as well

3) After you called me 10 times, I finally decided to answer the phone

4) Yes, I know you're getting serious but I'm considering another man too. I'll probably string you both along until it's too late to find another woman

5) N0! I will NOT take off the red shirt on the first date!!!!

6) When you promised me minutes, I was expecting it to last longer than 45 seconds.

7) Apparently, we have very different meanings of 'drop down'.

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are!

Classic Al Black right there. If you haven't had the pleasure of letting his team beat yours in conference play (and they usually do) yet, just find a world he's in and check out the coaches corner. Always good stuff.
