Does a player's height have any effect on their ratings and how they perform or is it just window dressing?

It means nothing. Height is already factored into the ratings.

Height is already worked into the ratings.

It does matter to the effect that if a player grows, it can be reflected in his ratings changing a small amount. IE a player that grows an inch would get a small boost to his Rebounding due to his added height.

Question I just thought of tho, what if a player grows a few inches? How does that work in regards to FSS? If a player is maxed out in Rebounding and then grows an inch or two does he get any boost to his rebounding due to his added height? Something tells me no...

Players actually grow? I had no idea.

It can happen, though I've never monitored my players to see if it's happen to any of them.

If by big you are talking about recruiting guards with high rebounding, then that is fine. But if you are talking about just recruiting guards that are tall (regardless of rebounding), then it is way off base.

Size is not included in the ratings. I've been hearing that forever. A 6'3" To-Be-Freshman DIII guard with 40ath 60spd and 5 REB?

It may or may not really and truly be included, or it may be WIS's easy way of saying "the engine does not take into account a player's listed height or weight".

Either way, the end result is the same.

Just because you are a taller person does not make you immediately a 'better' rebounder. I don't think that the recruit generation is that precise in recognizing that a 6'3" guard with cores of a d3 player with exceptional height for that level might get a 7 rebound for his 'height' advantage instead of a 4.

My understanding is it is just a base height advantage (or disadvantage even?) across all divisions.

Even if that were true, it is still quite a bit better then you can do.
