Luckily I can renew my Verizon contract in mid November, so I'll be picking one up. Anyone use an Android device with HBD?

Thoughts vs iPhone/Pre/Storm?

Got the Storm. The only thing I couldn't do, weirdly enough, was purchase more seasons....

From what I understand, though, Android II is going to blow the first version out of the water anyway, so the comparison isn't worth making...

Also, since I know where you live (MWAHAHAHAHA) you want to stay with Verizon, man...we don't get better service around here from any other company.

i use the HTC G1 for tmobile, which runs on android. its rather difficult to navigate the HBD menu. there is a trackball on the phone and it is hard to move it to the exact submenu you want. its also impossible to use the touchscreen to navigate the menu.

one more thing, depending on what browser you use (i use steel), you may not be able to view player cards. they wont load for whatever reason.

my final verdict is this: android is fine if you just want to check your scores or read the message board. roster adjustments are possible, just difficult at times. if you intend on doing a lot of roster moves on your phone, you may want to look elsewhere.

The new Android phones are based off of v2 of the operating system, which may present an entirely different user experience. I wouldn't condemn it based on bad experiences with the 1st gen Android phones.

Wait until they come out, and I'm sure Verizon will let you take one for a test drive. See if you can use it to navigate HBD's menus.

I should have some hands on experience in a week or so. I'll keep you guys updated.

From what I hear, Android v2 is supposed to be a HUGE step up from the earlier versions.

lol btw I heard that from trop...

I've got the G1 also and it's definitely a bad user experience. I'd fault WiS as much if not more than the Android OS for that. I'm dreading having to use the phone for making changes in the playoffs while I'm on the road next week.

Agreed spudpicker. WIS seriously needs to start developing mobile pages for each game.

Im not cool enough to have any of these things.

Got my hands on a droid today. Absolutely love it. HBD runs like clockwork. Getting into sub menus is a little clunky (like on an iphone) but overall browsing is so much better.

Btw the display is amazing!

only negative i have heard is that the keypad can be a pain to deal with, otherwise they are supposed to kick ***.

The keyboard runs together a little more than I'd like...but I got used to it pretty quick.

Sitemail me and let me know. My Storm may have an "accident" so I can upgrade early to one.

OH WAIT!! I forgot! I can do that like in April or so...Being a Verizon preferred customer! Woot!
