here's our conference



we've been the "power" in Wooden for 30 seasons. Regularly getting 6 NT teams. Recently though there have been three other conferences creeping up. They've filled up with coaches and we've got a target on our back. Come join the fun. The E8, Min, and Penn are all looking for a couple coaches so they can get in on the conference battle

signups are not for a few more weeks. BUT if interested send me a sitemail. I can give you info on team/conferences. And i'll send you a sitemail reminder when signups roll around.

we've got 2.5 takers so far. Need a couple more. Would be great to get a fifth power conference going.

Keep up the good work mrpolo. The Wooden DIII NT is the only one I've seen where true upsets are rare. It's a battle all the way through. Now if we could get the Midwest up to Upstate standards.....but you guys set the bar awfully high.

The balance of power will shift next season upon arrival of the king to the midwest..........................

Wooden DIII was my very first HD experience, and I've had so much fun coaching Beloit College that I would never consider leaving. Everything mrpolo says is right on. Wooden DIII rocks!

Little East could use some coaches also.

fitchburg St is a program they will be needing 9 spots filled if someone whats to build their team from scratch, Keene st will have 6 spots open on the Roster. , A few other teams can use some love.

I was going to join Naismith, but i think i can wait 6 more days to join Wooden. I am going to reserve Plymouth State tonight.

Join both! The Pennsylvania Conference in Naismith is ranked #5, despite only having 4 human coaches. We're just 2 or 3 good coaches from being the dominant conference in Naismith.

Or a group could do what we did initially ('polo hinted strongly at it)...in January 2006 a group of several coaches decided to try and create a super conference at DIII, but we also at times have used it to experiment with ideas such as comparing practice plans, tracking improvement, and other things to both help the game as well as help us become better coaches. We jumped into a then mostly empty conference, the Upstate. I believe all of the original coaches are still here except peacemaker11. We have tried to be pretty open in the forum for the world as well as our coaches corner about trading suggestions, tips, comparing notes, and other items that I think have not only helped our conference but also helped us become better coaches and since most of our chatter is on the CC I think it maybe has contributed to other coaches as well.

So, an option is to grab a group of coaches and decend upon an empty conference en-masse and take it over. Come on, it will be a blast!!

We did this in the iba - sorta. We formed a div III group in Empire 8 (mostly empty) and turned that from a joke to a top 3 conf. We all (almost) moved up to div II in a fairly empty conf and are all but 1 spot filled. Half of our conf is now on al's dynasty list after just like 4-5 seasons. If you get 10-12 coaches who will schd lightly and dominate non conf, you will send almost everyone to the NT and build up a super conf. Its just finding the right coaches who are willing to do it that can be hard.
