How many coaches didn't start HD with a FREEHD season? Just curious, I have only been participating for about 2 calendar years and probably wouldn't have even played if it wasn't for a FREE season to start.

It seems like the mass exodus from DIII happened about the time FREEHD was eliminated and POTENTIAL was introduced to the game.

There was an initial max exodus from DIII, which is what necessitated the FreeHD promo in the first place.

Then DIII got temporarily filled up by free HD, a huge portion of which was already established coaches grabbing teams to use for FSS and other things.

I started by paying, and never paid enough attention to know free HD existed, until it was too late.

Yup. FREEHD and FSS cannot coexist or the game is compromised.

same as me cburton...too dumb to know I could have started for free.

I could've started for free ?!?!?!?

I paid that discounted first season.

I started for free after playing an NCAA tourney bracket challenge in 2008 and getting the FREEHD offer.

It was clearly useful for WIS, but I just think they should have offered it for a month or two each year around the tourney rather than for such a long, continuous time.

I think FREEHD should be a promotion in November and February/March. These are the 2 periods of the year that people are thinking about NCAA Basketball the most. Also, some good promotion of gift certificate in November/December for holiday gift giving. Just my .02 cents on better ways to gain new customers.

They definitly need to promote the game
