may well have been my fugliest win ever. Bo Ryan would be proud.

The three combined free attempts is the lowest I think I can remember too.

There have been plenty of instances where a team has gone the whole game and not shot a free throw.

Wiz - that is not his point here. NEITHER team in the above game made a FT.

Now I will never even sniff 10,000 games (that is an insane number by the way man - you probably got about a dozen teams i'm guessing) but that is still something I had never seen before either.

The joys of the slowdown.

Dick Bennett, not Bo Ryan.

I have to fight this public misconception that the Badgers are still the slow-down, grind-it-out team they were under Bennett!

No, that's not really true. The last three years they've ranked 3rd, 5th and 8th in the Big Ten in ppg. Now, that doesn't make them the 1990 Runnin' Rebs, but it also makes them far from the methodical slowdown that you and others have painted them as, which is really a remnant from the Bennett days.

on the other hand Pomeroy gives the Badgers an average 63.8 offensive tempo rating from 2005-2008. Which ranks around 300th in D1.

They are very efficient at getting to the line and rack up a good share of points that way. But by no stretch would I consider them even close to being an average tempo team.
