I lost that ability before potential. My practice plans NEVER changed. For bigs it was 20 cond/20 REB/20 LP/11 FT. Whatever went into any improveable areas (def/pass/per/bh/sh) For guards it was always 20 cond/17-20 in passing/bh/per and 11 in FT. Whatever went to def, reb, sh mins. For SF this was the only one that took effort, but mainly 20 cond, 15-20 reb, 12-17 LP/per and whatever in bh/passing/SH. With potential I have to decide if I want to max an area out fast, how many minutes to put towards it etc knowing that it won't go up the same rate as before. It is much different now and my practice plans have actually changed player to player hugely. To me that is much more exciting building different types of players rather then the same player year in and year out just with a different name.
