What is the highest possible ranking per position for guys you have signed in D2? I am trying to get a gauge of what the limits are for A+ prestige teams in D2 for 4 year players

There is no highest possible, and overall rating depends a lot on WE and durability, the highest rated players will be 90s+ in both of these. While even guys with 40s WE will max out on all categories usually. So you might have a guy with a 780 rating and another guy with a 710 rating and the guy with the 710 rating is much better. If you want a good gauge just look at other A+ teams in your worlds.

I think he's referring to the recruit rankings, not their skill ratings.

As an A-, I just pulled in a 168 (late in recruiting season drop down); that's the highest I believe I've gotten. I know combalt, when he was coaching Anderson (A+) could pull guys in the 150's, and possibly low 140's (he had the patience to wait in recruiting, I, unfortunately, do not).

I signed the #85 Sf one season that's the highest i've signed

The highest I've gotten recently is the #126 C. Homr, if you're waiting for drop-downs you won't be able to go as high as you might otherwise, a lot of guys who might be open to recruiting will get snatched up by D/D- DI schools after signings start.

I don't know about the SF, but I know Cyric signed the #110 PF (or something very close) last season in Phelan.

yeah you can get much higher if they are JC, especially if they are SF's too.

I had several top 100 juco SF's at Limestone in Crum.

Was that guy within 70 miles too? If theyre highly ranked can you say how far they were from you when you signed them?

Since it varies so much from season to season and World to World, I'm not sure looking at what happened in the past is an accurate method to gauge the future.

A couple seasons ago I was able to sign a 104-SG and a 160-C. The next season the block of recruits targeted by D1 sims were much lower rated players, thus lowering the D2 ceiling, and there wasn't a D2 team that was able to sign a ranked PF/C. I think the best SG was around 170.

For the Allen recruiting wrapping up today the D2 caps were; PG-173; SG-166; SF-160; PF-171; C-195

Phelan recruiting that is going on now for the 1-3 positions a few people signed players in the 140s, PF seemed to be the toughest position to sign ranked players with the highest ranked player signed as of now being 185 and there was a C ranked in the 160s that was signed.

I just signed the #118 rated pg in smith. I pulled him down the 3rd or 4th cycle an no one battled me

The 85 ranked sf i signed was a 4 year player and was 70 miles away

and Pf generally is the hardest position for me to sign highly ranked guys Sf is the easiest
