XMas Wish Requests to Santa Seble Topic

You only get 1 HD wish, whatever it may be. Any 1 thing you could change or add to the game.

My wish would be to go back to the prepotential era.

I almost called him sable...haha

It's somewhat old but it does have some really good ideas in it.

I will contribute my 1 wish to your thread:

My idea has always been some players shouldn't hit big improvement until their senior years, some their junior years and sure some huge growth freshmen. I think the easiest way for them to program it would be after x minutes of pt the player hits their big growth. Of course not all players should have this, some should just be on the linear path and some should be the ones that max out fairly quick. The info could be incorporated into Evals (that are now pretty useless other then using them to get players to take hv and cvs) with "Player has a lot of potential but it might take him a while to get there" or "This kid is ready to touch the sky once we get him into our program".

Also if it was done by x minutes played it would leave it somewhat up to the coach also, get your younger guys pt while they are young, it would help those that had this get their quicker. It wouldn't be hard to do, if they want a player to hit their development in their sophomore year, well then just do the simple math (let's use the average of 12 mpg for an 'average' fr and we will use 27 games, since that is also all anyone is guaranteed.) (also this would be a small added bonus to making the postseason is more pt for your younger guys, since I have always thought it is such bull that player growth stops once you finish the ct) So with that math (12x27) once the player has played 324 minutes he would hit his 'super growth' and would start to reach his potential quicker. If you wanted it to be his Junior year ( ((17x27)+324) = 783 ) so around 800 minutes the player would hit his super growth. (by the way these average minutes are totally made up numbers) Then as a coach if I wanted to get my player there quicker or had a bad team and had to play younger guys and my freshmen sg played 22 mpg he would hit his super growth stage after about 15 games into his freshmen season.

Let their be more range of IQ's for recruited players, so you might occasionally recruit a freshman that had a b or more in an offense or defense?

Beginning of season tournaments (multiple)

I disagree about Evals being useless. Maybe at the highest level of D1, but for D2 and to some extent D3 they can be useful if read correctly.

There are a few things I would like to see changed but I guess the biggest would be allowing for my diversity in how we set our lineups and matchups. Meaning we can have our defensive stud SF who is a terrible ball handler and can't shoot guard the opposing teams SG who averages 18 ppg. As well as allowing crunch time lineups.

A close second is instead of having IQ for each individual offense and defense, have an overall IQ, and have it as a rating like everything else. Players who are just smart basketball players aren't going to take 2 or 3 years to understand college offenses and others may never get it. I mean there are guys in the NBA right now who you look at and just think "this guy is a dumb basketball player." So you can have guys coming in with 80 IQs who will be able to be stars right away if their other ratings are high enough, and then you can have guys with 30 IQs who may never "get it."

Again how are they useful? because they are more expensive then FSS 99% of the time and don't give you any information that FSS doesn't other then BBall IQ, which if you are recruiting kids only based on their IQ... Well you might want to try a few new things.

The only small use at the lower levels is to get a kid to accept your hv/cv if that is what you are talking about I agree with you, otherwise I don't.

I wish that the off and def a recruit knows was known by all, not just people that scout him.

in honor of christmas, which is a great time when it could be useful - make the teeeny tiny change of allowing coaches to ENTER first cycle recruiting moves in advance - the prior 12 or 24 hours. Dont need to change anything else. And yes you take the risk that a SIM shows up on the kid after you enter that move - if you want to act early you assume that risk

Its always been silly to have a two hour window for the first cycle. This year in Knight is a good example as it starts on christmas eve - but the same applies to yom kipper, mardi gras, festivus, your sisters wedding etc etc

I wish newly signed recruits showed up on campus before recruiting ended. Oh, and world peace would be nice and probably more realistic.

I wish the assistant would stop asking me if I've seen season 5 of the Sopranos. For some reason that really annoys me.
