NEW Integration Progressive draft Topic

Official Rules

1. Teams must use the stadium that they used for that year. Once the team changes in real life then it is your option if you want to move or not. (For ex. In 1953 the Phillies moved into Connie Mack Stadium. Come 1953 in the progressive you can choose to either stay in Shibe Park or move to Connie Mack Stadium).
-Teams must use the city in which there team is in, but do not have to use the nicknames however lets keep it appropriate.
-When a team moves in real life, it is the owners decision to either move or stay. For ex. (In 1958 the Dodgers moved to LA. Whoever owns the Brooklyn team can either move to LA or stay in Brooklyn. If they choose to stay in Brooklyn they have the right to move to LA anytime they want after 1958).

2. Original draft will be a serpentine styler. 1-12 12-1. First 5 rounds will be 1 hour time slots spread over 5 days. Rounds 6-15 will be half hour times slots spread over 5 days. Rounds 16-25 will be also be half hour times slots however teams will make 2 selections during this time. You can draft early as long as every pick in front of you has been made. Draft will officially start monday January 4th.

3. Subsequent drafts will go by record. Tanking results in automatic 4th pick overall(less than 33 wins by the 120 game mark). Ties will be broken by head to head record and then by home winning % and then coin flip. All rookies who make their first appearance in the WIS database and all cut players are open to be drafted.

4. There will be 20 keepers each year. Any play on IR does count as being on your keeper list. Before the 1962 season all teams will only be allowed to keep 12 keepers. We will then have a 4 team 12 round expansion draft with just those players.

5. AAA will be 6/2 average. However any player you send down to AAA must be cut following the season. This should hopefully prevent people from using too many AAA players.

6. No WW or DH. Draft picks can only be traded one year in advance. Any player placed on IR must have a missing season in the WIS database.

If there is anything missing or unclear please let me know so I can add it. I have been in progressive's before but never run one so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

i have a question- i own Brooklyn, can I move into Shea in '62, or Yankee Stadium in '58, or something else... like, could I stay in New York but not in Ebbets Field?

No. If your in Brooklyn then Ebbets field is all you can have, especially since there is a chance someone takes the Mets franchise in '62. Your stuck in Brooklyn until they moved to LA and then you have the option to move to LA anytime you want after that.

alright... just wondering, im gonna stay in Brooklyn for a few more years after the LA move
12/24/2009 12:39 PM

Jackie played all season at first base in 1947. Brooklyn had Stanky at second that year, I believe.
