why are there just 1 day off every 20 games??

without counting all star break i had 11 days off in real life it is like 16-17. i know its not real but my rotation could really use a day off.

Part of the challenge.

Yes. I would like to play more .400 teams and less .600 teams when they change the schedule.
12/27/2009 3:37 PM
atleast spread them around better then the first 26 games of the season i had 4 days off the last 39 games i had 1
12/27/2009 6:20 PM
That's really how MLB does it. Teams can go with 4 man staffs until about mid-April.
12/27/2009 6:23 PM
i have had to go to a 6 man rotation from time to time down the stretch. but mlb has 2-3 days off every month. mid april wouldn't that only be like the fiest 15 games then?

The problem, then, is that you don't have the correct DUR/STM combo on your pitching staff. It's easier/better for one man to change than to change the entire system.

I always end my seasons with (3) 20-game stretches only broken up by one day off. Pitching is fine, its the position players that suffer. All of my durabilities are high-70s or better its just late in the season like that, they get tired a lot easier with fewer days off

High 70s isn't a high durability number. But, if you want to prevent the problem, give them a day off here and there throughout the season.

High 70 is probably going to translate into about 550-575 100% PA. That's about 150 games.

If you get each position player 25 games off in the first 125, they will be in the lineup at 100% down the stretch. Two or three starter level players on the bench will do the trick.

IIRC, it takes about a 92-93 DUR to play 162. 87-88 DUR will get you 155-158 games.

i have a guy with a DU of 84 who is at 97% with under 550 pa. can you explain that?
12/28/2009 1:53 PM
with another player on the same team with a 77 still at 100% with 570 pa.

Your season isn't over and he's on pace for more considerably more than 550PA? Perhaps he's playing a demanding defensive position like C or MI?
