Right now we are still looking at recruit generation, the first 2 batches of recruits were a little troubled but the 3rd and now the 4th groups look to be in pretty good shape. As of now the total overall of recruits has not went down drastically but initial player ratings have been diversified, ie PFs with 60+ per and guards with good reb/lp.

Will that LP for the SG position be of any use as a SG? Or will he still need to be moved to SF to get the benefits?
1/6/2010 2:30 PM
There is the top player at each position for the most recent batch. As you can see there is a lot more diversification of rating points, as I have bolded. Potential has been increased for the most part where you will be able to see more growth and mold your players more as you want. I will try and post a couple random d2 recruits here later for those coaches to see.

Nothing is 100% locked in stone at this point and it isn't perfect but the recruit generation logic looks to be coming around very nicely.

In the new Engine LP is used for guards, we have not tested the actual game engine yet so I do not know how much it actually is.

You're overthinking it somewhat. Think of it as outside scoring ability and inside scoring ability. A player at any position can be good at one or both of those, but generally big guys are better at inside and guards at outside.
Quote post by seble on 1/5/2010 4:36:00 PM:

Outside scoring is more about shooting mechanics and finding enough room to release a shot. Inside scoring is more about touch and the ability to get off a good shot in a crowd or while you're moving.

Just focus on Outside vs. Inside. That's the key.

I think the PF and SG would be my top 2 SF choices.

D2/D3 recruits are much more diversified I don't think you'll see nearly as many top level rebounders (85+) but be able to build your team more like you'd want, ie per shooting big men or very athletic team in general, I think role players might become a bigger factor.

The top SG has a 62 perimeter rating... does that bother anyone else?
