I GOT SCREWED BY WIS!!! Topic

Im not "that guy" to normally complain about the sim engine. But check out this 2nd half play by play for the DIII NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP no less! Wow, I actually lost 15 minutes of sleep due to this.

I hear you on the frustration, chewchad. But the opponent was a great team. You were pretty evenly matched. In other words, the opponent might say he was "screwed by WIS" in the 1st half. Very frustrating that must be for you though, and I would not want to sit through that with one of my teams. Tough outcome.

You've also made two of these threads.

I mean your first half was just as ridiculous as his second half. The two teams are pretty even and I'd probably give Hardin-Simmons a slight edge. No way you should outscore him by 22 in a half, as he shouldn't outscore you by 25 in a half. You can't complain about the 2nd half and totally ignore the 1st half. Also this is what you get for leaving the So Cal conference in Knight D3, lol.

Wasn't the Kansas/UNC FF game a couple of years ago quite lopsided from half to half? Maybe even worse than this iiirc.

vandy - u think pressing will get fixed in the new engine to your satisfaction? I think the press success is a function of the same players who press well run offense well = ath / sp - the fix would be to give more of those FCP success characteristics linked to ath / sp over to m2m and zone - really doesn't seem that hard - does it????

I think the sim just hates wenworth tech. I just had a 27-2 team seeded #2 in the NT in tark. We lost in the first round by one point to a team we beat previously in the season by 43.

Chewchad, that was one of the weirdest games I've ever seen. I think we both got screwed in one half, and I also thought it was weird that my senior stud SG sucked it up in the championship game. The championship game last year also had a very weird result when I lost to a team that I should of killed.

i'd settle for track star dynasty over press dynasty

Looks like the sim has it out for Wentworth Tech....Btown had an extreme randomness problem with Wentworth Tech in Tarkanian last season, so this is very ironic for certain.

A 47 point swing between halves in the same game...unreal. I feel bad for you man and if some people feel that you didn't get screwed, I feel bad for them as well.

You're really excusing this incident with the "it happens in real life" bit....*sigh*
