WiS typically won't allow replacements for abandoned teams until two weeks have passed since the guy's last log-in.

Commissioners should be ready to fill that spot the day it's permitted. It usually takes an hour or less to find a replacement, but sometimes it can be a few hours or more for all the necessary support tickets to be filed and answered to hand over the keys to the new guy.

Remind the commissioner in world chat to fill the opening, because he might have forgotten. After that, the ball's in his court.

Is this team in his division, by any chance? If so, you should find a new league next season. If not, you should still consider finding a new league next season.

A good commish will notice after 3-5 days that the team is abandoned. By day 15, a replacement should be in place. I've been able to get it done quicker if an important event is coming up (amateur draft) and your replacement is willing to give up the team if the original owner comes back.

Some commissioners are just plain lazy, and/or like easy wins.

Either way... if this is something that bothers you, travis has given you good advise.

His High A level team has only a handful of players on it, and is 0-56 now. How can you take care of all levels, but that one.

Thanks that might be the best way to go...I was just asking how other commissioners do things. I am in Ruth and the commissioner there is excellent(schedule1) always on top of things, always setting a good example for the rest of the owners.

Wow, the commish is a tanker?

You should probably pick a new world next season.

Wow... 20 wins to 114 wins in 3 seasons.

It sucks, as I have a decent staff now :) but in a world where there is tanking, it is not worth the hassle.

Just use the rest of this season for experience, and possibly leave the team in really good shape for the next owner. The least I can do out of respect for any owner. Lead by example, and hope the rest of the World follows.

That's the same team jc44 was yelling about in the "get rid of prospect budget" thread, saying the owner doesn't tank and would benefit from the prospect cap and blah blah blah. I didn't realize that guy was the commish too. Find a new world, dude.
