How long does it take for a Type A FA to become a normal FA where i wont have to lose draft picks when i sign him?

When you see draft prospects.

as soon as the draft prospects become visible free agents lose their a and b status.

Are you sure? I thought that was true in the past but I noticed in my most recent league to roll that once free agency was over my player who was a type A was no longer a type A.

your own players won't show up as type a/b for some reason but they still are. every other owner in the league will see it but you.

That sucks, I saw that and signed my type A guys because I would rather have them then lose them for nothing.

Yes you can. I think you're limited to 2 in real life but I don't think WIS has that limit. If your first round pick is gone, you would lose your second round pick and it would keep going if you sign more.

Yes, lose a 2nd round pick then a 3rd round pick etc. for each additional Type A you sign.

Actually, there is a rule in real life, but it's not necessarily a limit of 2. The limit is tied to the number of free agents that file.

If there are 14 or fewer Type A or Type B free agents available, no team can sign more than one type A or B player. If there are between 15-38, no team can sign more than two. If there are between 39 and 62, there's a limit of three. If there are more than 62, then MLB can raise the limit above 3 on an exception basis. Last season, I believe there were more than 62, sothe limit was at least 3, if not higher.

it seems it's based on the total # of FA, not the total # of type As and Bs
