1,000 Wins in HD Topic

Is there anyone that has 1,000 wins in HD? In Smith DIII there are 2 coaches that will hit the 1,000 win mark this season. fobermeyer 996 and vandydave 986 wins currently. Anyone else pass this mark or close to it?

Do you mean 1000 wins in 1 division, or 1 world?

In Iba DIII, oldave has 999 wins at the same school. SUNY Oneonta

In Wooden, oldman_son has 998 wins. He coaches in DII at N. Florida . He's 13-0 this season and should reach 1,000 in a couple of days

Within 1 World.

The 2 coaches mentioned above are both at 1 school.

Whatever. 1000 wins is 1000 wins, regardless of world. If you had been the first to reach 1000 wins in Tark, I guarantee it wouldn't be "one-a-day worlds only".

Two-a-day worlds play the same number of games, just twice as fast, that's the only difference. Just because some coaches started in one-a-day worlds well before others, shouldn't diminish the accomplishments of those in two-a-day worlds who caught up in number of seasons.

apples and oranges. or at least different kinds of apples.

dont know if vandy is talking about speed of world or not.. . . .

but 1000 wins, is not 1000 wins, regarless of world.

Wins are MUCH easier to come by in the 2-a-day worlds. I am not saying 1000 wins isnt an accomplishment. its a huge accomplishment.

but, more impressive in a 1-a-day world

And how, exactly, are wins easier to come by?

Until someone shows me that the two-a-day worlds are emptier (Tark specifically) than the one-a-day worlds, I don't buy your argument.

Now if you CAN show me that Tark is emptier than all the one-a-day worlds, I'll leave with my tail between my legs and head bowed in shame.

And the apples and oranges (or different kind of apples) argument is ridiculous. It's the same HD as any other world. Same rules, same divisions, same recruiting, everything. There is no difference, regardless of whether anyone thinks so or not.

Of course it's different. How can you say it's not?

If you play twice as many games, you can get to 1000 wins twice as fast.

That said, it's still amazing.

If its significantly MORE seasons than the other world, sure. But other than that. . how is there a difference?

What? If you've played 40 seasons in a 1 a day world, and 40 seasons in a 2 a day world, you will play the same amount of games. The argument that people make against 2 a day worlds is that they think 1 a day worlds have tougher competition.
