Trading pitching for position? Topic

My diamondbacks team has a good helping of pitching prospects, but is light on position prospects.
I have three guys I consider A prospects, three that are B, and a couple high quality RP's.
That considered, I'm having trouble moving the B guys for good prospects, so I'm considering moving one of the A guys (and a C pitcher)
the deal is this
pitcher A-74 94 80 71 94 93
99 76 66 39 0 (dur-26 health-95)
pitcher C-back of rotation/lra type

for
player A- fielding 86 85 64 66. Dur. 95health 100
hitting 6

i hate moving good pitching for anything less than an outstanding position player.

68 80 69 64 86

player B- fielding 95 85 100 95. Dur 77 health 85
hitting - 56 67 86 72 60

The pitcher is 23, the position players are 23 and 20 respectively...
(also worry that the 23 position player has only 1 ML season and has a ways to meet his projection, will he get there?)

I, like nanu, don't like movin pitching for prospects... But I'm considering it because I have two other allstar pitching prospects, a lack of postition prospects, and these guys could fill the hardest defensive positions with good gloves and solid bats. Thoughts?

Sorry for the disjointed post... My phone doesn't do well with the forums structure...

Those 2 players are pretty good. Excellent gloves and bats you don't mind putting in the lineup. Are those projections or current ratings? I mean, as long as they reach those numbers or somewhere thereabout all around, I think you're in good shape to make that deal.

can you post the actual players?

ah - what's your scouting budget? what are his current ratings? can he play a + 2b next to the kid that will eventually play a + SS for you?

if player B actually reaches his projections, i would murder for him.

an ace defensive SS with a decent bat simply doesn't exist in most HBD worlds.

Scouting budget is 14 mil

I can't post the actual players on phone. If you wanna search, phelps is the pitcher on my team, and the other guys are Everett and Wang on the Atlanta braves franchise...

ok so:

Phelps

for

Everett

Wang

if you're getting both, then fukkin A hell yes i make that trade.

Other people may disagree with me, seeing that he's an ML ready SP that was a former #1 pick. He looks more like a 1A starter than a cy young contender, I personally prefer the SS.

Throw in a quality 2B prospect and the fact that you have other SP prospects, and yeah, I'd do it without looking back.

I'm worried about wang's low makeup (40 I think) have to handle him with kid gloves, and everett's late start (already 23)
legitimate concerns?

small details.

everett got a decent bump for being traded 1 game into ST- it looks like he should progress better than some HS prospects.

makeup, schmakeup. wang just needs to add the 9 points to his glove and he's good to go. no kid gloves necessary.

if you prefer, wait until the end of ST to see what wang's ratings bump looks like, just to make sure you're not getting a dud.
