Has this ever been done before? I just had a conference mate lose in OT of the D3 national championship in Knight without 1 senior. Seems like it would be really rare to have this happen. Here's the team http://whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=13647

Congrats to AEJones on a great season with no seniors, but these days, d3 is pretty easy to be successful in.

I think its happened before, Furry may have done it I can't recall.

I'm in the process of trying to do it in wooden at Providence. 20-4 #1 RPI, I have 3 juniors, 4 sophomores (actually 1 of them is a junior, but was ineligible his first year so i think of him like that), and 5 freshmen (one of which is ineligible).

Tanner don't you think D3 is harder than D1? I think you should move back down and free up those crappy jobs at BCS schools, lol. Just kidding with you, good luck in Wooden.

It's happened before but I don't remember the details.

It's easier to accomplish now because most players max out before their senior year. So juniors and seniors are essentially equal except for IQ.

Two seasons ago, in Iba DII, both finalists had one senior each

UVA did it in Allen last season. Didn't lose anyone early, so they returned all 12 kids to defend this season.

Are we talking just d3? I won my title at IL with 0 seniors, I had a d3 team in Allen win the title with 6 freshmen on the roster as well. I think my first title at Le Moyne had very few seniors, 2 to be exact, neither of which played very many minutes.

Edit: I take that back there was 1 senior who started for me at PF that year at Le Moyne.

When I won the title with RI in wooden I didnt have a SR. Lost one guy to the draft (a 707 rated PG) and then flamed out in the S16 the next season

I won it all once with just 1 SR vrs a team who only had 1 SR as well. I also lost in the national title once and the final four once with no srs.

Al beat me to it.

USC Aiken, DII Smith, Season 36 - they went to the Sweet Sixteen the next year.

The fact that UVA did it and didn't lose a single early entry says pretty much all I need to know about early entries in general.

Florida won the title and everybody came back. Not like it's unheard of.

Florida? In what world? Comparing real life early entries to what generally happens in HD doesn't seem very apt. Besides, didn't like that entire Florida team all bolt after the second championship in 2007?

Seble has stated that each player is different and some will leave early based on 1 set of criteria while others would stay under the same situation. Which is pretty similar to real life.

My Seton Hall team won the NT (season 22 in Knight) with no seniors
