So i was checking in D1 Naismith just to see if anyone is actively hunting any player records, and noticed disturbing, if not surprising, trend.

Nobody is in the top 25 in any category and active.
Nobody from after season 15 in REB, season 11 in Points
Nobody after season 5 in Blocks!
FG% not much better- 1 season 10, nobody else after season 8.
But the real topper is 3FG%, where there is not a single top 25 player after season 4.
Assists and Steals are semi-active (ie, still seem reachable).

so, is there a similar trend in all the other worlds? Wooden is essentially the same. Rupp is similar, too, with a few notable exceptions...

I suggested something on this note this to dalter for his thread. It would be nice to have another set of alltime records that document players after the nba draft was instituted. There could be a replacement list or two lists. It's fun to have goals benchmarks, and nobody now will ever challenge the rebound or points career marks, and for whatever reason fg% and 3fg% have become nearly untouchable too.

Assists and ft% are the only two reachable marks now.

I had a player who graduated in season 21 at Florida who is in the top 3 of scoring

Is this not because all of the sim-coached players play absurd minutes? And now that we've gotten to the point where there are humans in D1 of all these worlds there's just less of simmy's guys out there running up the numbers against crap competition?

Yeah, cheez it's that and the draft.

The problem is that WIS makes programming chancges through the years that alter stats. ie - decreasing the rate of FT improvement

stats from different "generations" of players are not comparable

and the fact that most of us are probably somewhat conservatie with our distro

Yeah, using stats from seasons 1-4 is like counting baseball stats from 1887 when walks counted as hits and pitchers played every day and balls were made out of mud. Would be nice if there was a way to create "Modern Era" leaders, from something like season 8 onward. Probably not high on seble's list, though...

Also, in the earlier seasons, there was no fatigue setting. Everyone used target minutes which meant players logged more playing time and padded their stats.

I rarely have a player with more than 30 minutes in a game. That used to be very common. On one of my teams, Mars Hill (DII Wooden), my leading player has played 632 minutes in 27 games. I used to have players with over 900 minutes in a season.
