It's a new installment of the countdown league. Rules are below:

Each player must fit within a set price range ($9.9-$9.0, $8.9-$8.0). Last three players under $1 million. 52 million cap. No WW, rooks, or clones.

The wrinkle I am adding is a small blacklist. Uvasooner's squad that won the bOWIS tournament version of this league will have all of it's players ineligible for utilization in this version of the 9-8-7 league.

I think the blacklist is an interesting twist.

If people are down on it, it can go away.

I like the blacklist - why not make the blacklist the roster of who wins the BOWIS 987?

I can go either way on the blacklist, although I like benji's suggestion. It accomplishes the intention without a lot of fuss...as long as the composition of the winning roster will be known soon enough.

It would be ironic if it was my team since I was so dissatisfied with them that I wanted to do the league over and then they went on a crazy run.

I say do it. Arbitrary, but it gets the job done without sucking up a lot of the commish's time or airspace in the sign-up thread.

It also prevents anyone from getting a head start by pirating a successful blueprint.

i hate blacklists of any kind... i'll have to think about this some more.

Great idea but instead of a vote why don't you simply decide which player in each salary slot to not allow in the league? You are the league commish so whatever seasons of each player you don't like just eliminate them from the start. Or just vote out the 9 players that you don't want to see used in the league period. No seasons used for any of the players that you choose to ban from your league (that concept I will buy into).

I don't like the vote because 24 owners, posting 9 player seasons to eliminate, reveals a lot of great partial seasons that won't be voted out in the end. Therefore, it will be quite easy to build a great roster with many of the player seasons that each of the 23 other owners voted on banning but never were banned. Does that make any sense?

One of the most fun parts of this game, for me, is using player seasons that others didn't know about because of a lack of research.

Scudmissle has already identified 2 of my favorite partial season players on his list already.
