So I'm scrolling through the RPI Ranking page when I decided to check out a few of the lower ranked teams. This is one of the teams I came across.

I'll be nice and say this is one of the "weaker" teams I seen in some time, but the real kicker was the guy that was chosen to be RS. You can't make this stuff up.

9 walk ons scholarships, look back a few seasons when the one dude went 31-3 and didnt get a nt bid and the team won the pi championship that had to be one of the best records not to be in the nt.

Yeah, i noticed that when i played him. What the hell was i thinking!

I like his first game this year...a 92-17 loss.... Accidentally I would think someone could get more than 17 points.

I guess this is one way around the 6 recruit per class rule.....

heh, one way to waste 12.95 or 1/5 of a 5 pack.

You'd think, but people have been held to less. Think I held some crap simmie to 16 just this year.

Well, no, he'd have to have another year paid to put a redshirt on.

Well at least the team's got a healthy work ethic.

And that player he RS should be really special by the time he is a senior......lol!

This team ****** me off, for a few seasons he was the only other human in the conference but is clearly just a ghost team. He hasn't recruited a player, gameplanned or said a word in several seasons.

I'm glad everyone else can see what a ridiculous team he put together.

No, it's not a ghost team. He actually red-shirted a guy. And he's scheduling human teams. He may be trying to put together as bad a team as possible, but that is quite a different thing than being a ghost team.

He reminds me of a coach I saw destroying a team the same way several seasons ago. His argument for giving schollies to his redshirts was:
"I only want guys who WANT to play for me."

He didn't realize that they were going to be automatically generated for him no matter what. And this was 4-5 seasons into his 5-pack.

So, he didn't do much recruiting and turned an NT contender he poached into garbage. I never could change his mind, thankfully he quit.
