Pitching at Coors Topic

Anyone know of pitchers that have better than average success at Coors Field? Just wondering if there are guys that actually are more successful than others or the usual suspects. Thanks.

Ive never actually played in Coors but I would try pitchers who have high k/9.

Look for pitchers whose HR yield will normalize well. If you don't have a handle on normalization, stay far away from Coors and other extreme parks.

choose the same pitchers you'd select anywhere else, for the most part. when it's a close call then oav has a little more importance. dont sacrifice pitching to spend more on hitting. and you need more innings.

In general I'd have to say that while playing in Coors is fun, it's not a good idea. Only a few owners out there can realy make it work on a regular basis.

low avg, low k, low hr

I would definitely draft a low oav#, low hr pitching staff, surrounded by A+ range fielders.

I have seen other suggest low bb/9 as a better target than low oav#, but I disagree because the park increases hits, so you need to account for that. And a hit at coors will definitely hurt alot more than a walk because it is going to be of the extra base variety.
