Would St. Mary’s Gaels be possible in WIS Topic

I notice during the game Thursday afternoon that St. Mary's had FIVE players from Australia (three were Freshmen). Would this be possible. I am sure the St. Mary's coach used the success of the first two players (grad student, 5th year senior and a sophmore to recruit the three Freshmen. In our SIM the coach would be charged for a trip for each player everytime. I am sure contacts and one trip was used to land those three recruits. This should be able to be simulated in the game to simulate relatives on the same team, teammates from same HS or JC school. I also heard last night that former Ohio State player and ESPN analyst Clark Kellogg's two sons are going to play for Ohio University. One transfered from Providence and the other is going to attend after HS this year. I am sure the brother is coming directly because of the first brother. This can not happen in the WIS game. Should it?

I think the international strategy might be able to be used. But getting more than 2 a year would be difficult. Most any higher prestige school can grab your potential recruit plus any lost battle can wipe you out.
Having an "in" on recruits in an area or maybe relatives is something mentioned in the forums every so often. I wouldn't hold my breat waiting for it to be iplemented.

I might be wrong but I think last year st marys just missed being selected for the tourney. And I think had sr patty mills from Australia?

Something like that sounds like it would be a nightmare to implement and get to work properly.

Yeah too much work to pay attention too. Realistic? Yes. Fun? Not so much.

And really hard to code.

Plus WIS doesn't have any players from Australia in the game, which has always bothered me.

perhaps each season recruits #2-#x from a given foreign location are cheaper, as you already traveled to said location for recruit #1

I have had 5-6 Internationals on my Missouri team for several seasons. They are usually all from different countries though. It might be fun to focus on just one country and see how many I could get.

One of the seniors in question, Ben Allen, was first recruited by Indiana. After IU's program imploded, he transferred to St. Mary's.

Germans apparently do not play basketball either in WIS so Dirk Nowitski and Detlef Schrempf do not exist. Not even Uwe Blab (was he German?).

Weena chooses his recruits based on which countries have the best Red Light District. Word is that he is a legend in Belarus. Whatever works, buddy.

It would be cool if they could set something up like Future Stars Scouting but for international players. And then from within there you could recruit multiple players from the same area at a lower cost. Just a thought.

I like the current risk/reward setup for internationals.

WIS HD needs to add St.Marys first of all. Their not even in the game along with other DIV I schools. University of Seattle is another DIV I school not on here.
