Well, jagged, you've accidentally ruined your sarcasm by saying Minnesota. Minnesota and UTEP are in really bad locations, that's the point.

They have not won it in any of the 6 worlds I am in. It is real easy to check if someone wants to look in Wooden, Knight, and Phelan since I am not currently in those worlds.

Made the Elite Eight in Wooden with them, and probably should have won the damn thing that season, but got upset.

Thanks for checking, I was just curious. It's pretty well-distanced from any recruits, making it a bit of a challenge. I was just wondering if it had been done before.

It'd probably be an 8-10 year plan for me to try to make a Final 4 in Phelan but wonder if it's worth it to try at a C baseline prestige school like UTEP. Seems like plenty of other coaches have taken mid-majors to great success.

In Wooden, jjbarone had a pretty good run at UTEP. He took them to an Elite 8 and NT runner-up appearance. emy1013 took them over after jj for Arizona and also went to the Elite 8.

I believe a NT was won at Hawaii.

If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

Goose (currently @ Kansas) in Smith won it all from Hawaii.

I believe it was smith world.....where tannermcc had an outstanding UTEP team always ranked in the top 5 finished with the #4 rpi.. an elite 8 run and a few sweet 16s

Ya i had a few elite 8s and sweet 16s. never could get the talent to get any further than that.

El Paso isn't a bad place to recruit to be honest.

Once we are checking. Anyone know if Kansas or Wisconsin have ever won? They havent in the worlds I'm in and while Wisconsin doesn't seem strange, KU without a title would be odd. Im in Phelan/Naismith/Tark.
