Let me just clarify the rules to make sure I get it. Say I get assigned 2009 TB vs. NYY for example.

The only batters I can have are from the actual opening day lineups of TB and NYY.

What about if there were subs? Can we use the subs or just the 9 (or 8) players in the starting lineup?

I must have the starting pitchers from the game on my roster.

When filling the rest of the pitchers, can I use any pitcher who pitched for TB or NYY in 2009 per baseballreference.com?

They need to be from the starting lineups only.

Must have the two SP, rest of pitchers are from the rosters of that season, since it is too difficult to check the Opening roster for the pitching staffs.
