Multiple offseason adjustments in Knight Topic

Anyone else notice the offseason adjustments ran multiple times during the Knight rollover?

We've been discussing it in the coaches corner, but I wonder if everyone saw the same thing?

CS Response:

Thanks for the note. There were some issues with the season rollover in Knight so it's quite possible that the offseason improvements ran a few times. While it's obviously not ideal, it would be impossible to correct at this point. It affected all players equally.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, although my 11 WE guy does seem to have regressed multiple times.

No, it didn't - low WE guys just got hit multiple times. When you recruit a low-WE guy, you do so under the expectation that he'll regress three times... not five.

Why the hell is this impossible to correct?

Poor CS, WIS can pull end of season data and re-do it once.

But if poor WE recruits regressed 3 times, wouldn't good WE improve 3 times? I know it's not the same because in the end everybody caps anyway, while this will make it harder for low WE players to cap, the immediate impact would be equal. Still, they should fix this.

As I just posted in my CC, who it really effects is teams that need a high stamina, IE Press/FB. When the stamina decreases a couple times from off season "improvements" that is going to hurt them

Forgot about the stamina impact, even good WE players regress in stamina sometimes.

The JUCO-2 PG I signed last year went up almost 70 points in the offseason. He's starting the season at levels he never would have reached by graduation.

My 11-WE guy went down almost 20 though. He's below where he started last season.

Yes, this is going to have a pretty big impact.

1. ST is going to be down across the board, obviously effecting some teams greater than others.

2. Teams that are Soph/Junior heavy are going to be caught up in ratings compared to older teams, and thus will have an advantage. (Might even cause a player or two to leave early that wouldn't have otherwise, lol.)

3. WE is suddenly a big deal again, especially low WE guys who took a beating.

Well now that I have 6 freshman and a juco guy coming in after I recruit most likely do they get boosted 3 times to balance things out? I mean it really hurts the teams that have a lot of scholarships as well.

If I knew this was going to happen I would have stayed in D2 for another season.

It very likely 'hit each player the same amount of times', obviously but it didn't affect each player the same for the reasons already mentioned.

Seble ?

This is stupid and needs to be fixed. I guess my team would benefit from this however the stamina thing is just annoying.

Indeed, my sophomores improved to levels that I wouldn't have expected to see until at least midway thru the season.
