I just purchased a state in Future Stars... now what? How do I see the results?

Go to Recruiting Search > States > Scouted.
Click on the recruits and go to Future Stars Notes.

For the state you are scouting. You will see the potential for each player in that state. Don't ask the hall of famers for any advice a lot of them are peckerheads.

Yeah instead ask the people who have no success, they will probably be more helpful.

Well tmac when you ask some guy just to comment on your team. He says like some peckerhead quit using run on sentences. That's no help for anyone on the boards.

Another new player question for you. When I get multiple messages from a potential recruit at the end of the same recruiting cycle, which one gives the most up-to-date information? The top? The bottom? The most positive if I sent several phone calls, etc.?

They should all be the same from a recency point. More important, phone calls to a player are largely useless, except maybe to give you an idea if you are winning a battle. And there is generally no reason to battle in D3.

Check out the recruiting part of zhawks' pinned thread for a little early guidance. There is also a D3 recruiting thread by oldresorter somewhere that is a bit out of date (before potential and future stars) but probably still useful. It shoudl be in the useful info thread, otehrwise you can probably find it searching in the Tarkanian thread.

Nah emy. I should not asked for the opinion of some schmuck. He's basically running up his record against weak competition. I thought forum was used for helping out the less experienced coaches.

Here's one more. How will a big man with a low defensive rating but a very high shot blocking rating and good athleticism perform on the defensive end?

It depends on the defense you run. At d3 and running a zone, he could be a very good defender in time with that kind of make up.
