1902 Live Prog. League - Full at last! Topic

Hey everyone,

Season 2 of the Bid McPhee Memorial League, a live progressive league, is looking for waiting list owners and we need YOU!

The basics - It is a progressive league started in 1901, we are entering the 1902 season.
- 60 live game min for the playoffs
- 50 live game min by game 120 for top 4 draft pick eligibility
- 35 win min by game 120 for top 4 draft pick eligibility

1902 will be non Serpentine, there are 16 teams, 2 divisions of 4 teams each per league.

Teams are to be filled out with 200k scrubs that are NOT to be used in game play, AAA players will be provided to help fill game rosters.

Players can be put on DL if they don't play in a season but come back later.

There are position limitations per roster because of a dearth of players in this era - Max 3 Catchers, 2 1Bmen, 2 2Bmen, 2 3Bmen, 2 SS, 5 OF, 7 Pitchers, and 1 extra player at any position (UTL slot).

That's it! We have these open teams because a couple owners have backed out, unable to play the live minimum. If you like live leagues and progressive leagues, this is the league for you, in an ERA few get to use - It's fun, interesting and full of fielding errors, you'll have a great time!

Please sitemail me if interested in a team, or post here and I will contact you!

Hope to see you soon in the BMBL!

OPEN ROSTERS FOR 1902 - THESE ARE THE FULL ROSTERS (Prospective owners would have to fill their rosters will 200k players before entering their team. This is the case for all teams in the league, so don't think that these teams have been shortchanged!)

As you can see, each team has talent, good players, meaning you can step in and it's not a rebuild, like everyone hates...who wants to take over a prog team they have to spend years rebuilding?

Come one, come all - join the BMBL!

Reserve the St. Louis team for me. Are those the only rules? I thought there were some other rules in the first development of the league.

Welcome aboard, habs!

Additional rules are -

-The Champions Handicap - Essentially - if a team wins more than 2 Championships in a row, or more in a row, it will have successive salary caps placed upon it alone until it is unable to win a championship, upon which time the caps are removed. It is in place to prevent one team from dominating this era if they were to luck out with 3 or 4 ridiculous good players (say Ty Cobb, Shoeless Joe, Walter Johnson and Tris Speaker on the same team - the rest of that division has no chance for a decade otherwise). It was recently upheld in a league vote, we can review it later in the decade if need be.

-No Salary Cap

- Team IP totals must be between 1100 and 1800 IP.(which is why i post the IP totals under rosters during the draft, so it can easily be kept track of)

-Draft order is Randomized in 4 team tiers, based on team record.

-You play in the stadium that your team played in.

all pretty straight forward, except the Champions cap....and that has yet to be actioned.

Check your sitemail Habs, and welcome to the BMBL! One team , who wants it?
