turn reward points into credits - Topic

I've got 1450 reward points - a smidge below the 1500 it takes to get a $10 gift cert. Now that reward points are phased out except for those who get win the NT or get to the title game, is there a way to convert those 1450 reward points to credits? anyone know how?

****

update - go to page 3 - furry pointed the way to turn all but the smallest bits into credits - problem solved - bravo furr ball!

i made a suggestion to CS about allowing us to convert them to credits at the GC rate - they are reviewing it...If I get a response before there is some general announcement I'll let everyone know...

Right now, this is the case. Unfortunately, CS confirmed this for me in a ticket.

You can buy gift certificates as well as T-shirts and other merchandise. It's all at the Rewards site.

Play GD. They still get reward points. WIS has refused to extend this policy change to that game.

I've always thought that they should rid themselves of reward points and convert it all to non-transferrable monetary credits that must be used on the game or what have you, thus you can ALWAYS exhaust your "reward points"....1500 points = roughly $10...do the math...0.00667 cents per point and run with it...not hard imo.

So in FD's case...he has 1450 over points....multiply that by the magic number (0.00667) and he should/could have a $9.67 credit to his account.

I sent in a ticket, and the reply is basically, "no, we have shafted you"

question:

reward points question - I've got 1450 which is 50 less than the lowest amount I can use to get a gift cert

is there a way for me to get a credit in proportion to the 1450 reward points - assuming that no new reward points are being issued....so close to the 1500, seems unfair to leave them unusable if we can avoid that

thanks

answer:

Rewards points have not stopped being issued.

o Lose second round game: $5 in credits
o Lose Sweet 16 game: $10 in credits
o Lose Elite 8 game: $15 in credits
o Lose Final Four game: $20 in credits
o Lose Championship game: 4,400 reward points
o National Champion: 5,800 reward points

my reply

so your answer is that I can only cash in these 1450 reward points when I next get to a championship game - you understand how churlish that is - it is as if WIS has cancelled reward points that I earned, unless I get really lucky and get to the title game.....not fair....not close to fair.

their answer:

Thanks for the follow up. The answer is simply that HD has not eliminated the possibility of reward points being accrued in the game or any other game that the site offers.
