I really don't think just saying how many teams ran either FCP or HCP and made the Sweet 16 or wherever they made it is enough to say the press is overpowered. You have to do a comparison because the majority of coaches use at least a HCP so if 70% of coaches use at least a HCP and 70% of the teams who make the NT use at least a HCP and 75% that make the Sweet and 3 of the 4 Final 4 teams also use a HCP is that really proving anything?

do the sim gods not realize that this would seem to be a bug in the sysytem......

goats (vd you can answer to) are ANY of those teams in the sweet 16 because they run the press, or is it because they are talented and would win no matter what they ran? In other words, would any of those teams not be in it if they ran m2m or zone because they weren't talented? If so, link team. Thanks

should it be that 80-90% of the teams run that have human coaches run the press???? i do know that this is not real lfe....but i don't think there are 1% of the actual teams in college basketball that run the press 40 minutes a game...

This is WHATIF sports. WHAT IF you ran press for 40 minutes. WHAT IF you coached at johnson state and recruited only players with that last name? WHAT IF you had an all SF team. WHAT IF you had an all big team. WHAT IF you recruited just insanely fast/athetlic players. Obviously this stuff doesn't happen in real life, who cares? We don't know how any of the sets really work, so we can't truely say if they work the same way as real life or not.

my team runs the press and i still suck....the point is one defense should nnot dominate the game

if there was not some resemblence to real life we not not even run offenses or defensive sets that are actually ran in the game of basketball.....we would run offense A and defense C.....

So, MNt, the game shoudl force teams to chose a balanced set of offenses and defenses , just so they match the choices in real life?

The point is one defence can dominate the game if every coach uses it. If 90% ran m2m or zone, guess what would dominate the game? If you guessed the set that was ran by 90% of the coaches, and 98% of the best coaches was the most dominate then you win an internet cookie.

but why would 90% choose to run 1 defense if it truly was not better than the rest??????
