Regressive Franchise Twist

'54-'55-'56 versus '66-'67-'68

#90400

Gentlemen, the 1933, 1934, 1935 league was a good idea but I believe this one is better and offers more options. The NL will be comprised of 12 teams from '66-'68 and the AL will be comprised of 12 teams from '54-'56 and we will work down ('51-'53 v '64-'66, '48-'50 v '61-'63, etc.). Any 12 teams for each season, gives ALOT of options, more so than ever in this format and still keeps all of the positive properties of this league (real teams, etc.). We get to use teams never before used in this league as well, exciting. My only request is that you name your franchise of the actual team name of today's major league teams that they have evolved into (Senators=Twins, etc.). *There is also a $10 Gift Certificate awarded by administration to the team to improves their team the most win %-wise over how your chosen squad actually fared(One caveat for the $10 Gift certificate, for the 1st season all owners are obviously elgible, but for the following seasons only A)new owners or B)returning owners with the same team are eligible. Now, you are welcome to switch teams year-to-year if you like, but this promotes owners or true fans to stay with their teams). Have fun!1.) Pick a franchise. You get any player who appeared in at least one game on that team in those years (http://baseball-reference.com/), any year of that player that you like. No clones. You get to keep your franchise every year.

2.) Your $200K guys can be from any year in the history of that franchise. Make sure it's the correct franchise(Per, http://baseball-reference.com/).

3.) You must use the stadium from your franchise/year.

4.) You get $100mil to make your team

5.) 60 game SLL min for playoffs.

6.) No DH.

7.) 6/2 Average AAA

8.) Trades allowed

* To 'twist' means to choose from any season of a particular player. For example say you select the Giants for 1966-1968, you can choose any year of any of those players that you want.

* Each owner can select up to two franchises. They will be placed in seperate conferences. But you can select whichever 2 you want, regardless of which conference they are in as far as the current MLB is formatted.

* You must use actual franchise name.

Being that they are no where near the best options for either timeframe, and that they are my favorite team, I am going to select both Boston teams.

IF ANYBODY WANTS THEM FEEL FREE TO SELECT THEM, I DO NOT MIND.

If anybody wants a couple juggernaut teams that are aside from the obvious LAD<NYY<SFG etc., look at the Astros and the White Sox.

matt13 has selected the 54-56 N. Y. Yankkes via/live chat. Thanks matt13.

I am going to open up both Red Sox teams. I think they are too attractive for prospective owners.
