The long-running EBKL Progressive League has a team available for the upcoming 89-90 season. The current roster is:

It also has picks 9 & 24 of the 1st round in a very deep Draft, and the rights to the following players who are on IR this season:
D.Valentine (back in 90)
C.Gaines (back in 90)
S.Hastings (back in 91)

For those who haven't checked, here are some of the players in the Draft:

Divac, Ellison, Reid, D.Robinson, Kemp, Rice, Elliott, P.Richardson, N.Anderson, Blaylock, T.Hardaway, Barros, Armstrong, West, and Douglas.

The # 9 spot in the Draft is up soon. Love to have the new owner make the pick. So far, Robinson, Kemp, Divac, Rice, Hardaway, and Blaylock are off the board. Still leaves Ellison, Reid, Elliot, Pooh, Nick A., Barros, Armstrong, D.West, Sherm, and Cliff Robinson. Nice team to walk in to.

This is a team with nice building blocks in a great, great league. Jump in, the water's fine!

Cliff and Nick have since gone. It is now this team's turn to Draft. Step-up right into action. Elliot, West, Barros, etc.; you can't go wrong.

Thinking about it. Obviously that team is in pretty desperate need for a big. Just thinking, from a drafting the BPA, how active is the trade market in that league or is their such a dearth of big men that very little movement goes down on that front.

Usually a ton of trading in the offseason. Check out the keeper / draft thread, since the draft is underway and you can see the list of players likely to be available at the #9 spot.

Yeah, I been looking it over.

Elliot, Sherm, Pooh and Barros seem to be the only ones worth drafting that early... just not a massive need for the team with Strickland, Edwards, Clyde and the last bit of Vinny on board. I guess I will take it. Give me a bit to decide on the pick.

I'll take this if its still available and would like to change the name of the franchise to the Bakersfield BPIs playing either out of LA or SD.
