From what I've seen myself and heard from others, these seem like positive changes.

We'll see how this does with press. I keep changing it, then before the game plays switching it back thinking WIS won't let it completely die. All I need is for it to work decently for just 2 more seasons, then they can do whatever with it. I like the fatigue help, less fouls and reducing IQ. All should help make press runable again

These look encouraging. I had asked for just about all of these in different tickets. hope to see some positive changes.

The thing I like is it looks like its pretty easy now for him to tweak variables quickly and in a targeted manner.

That's the problem. Do we abandon certain O/D sets as coaches or do we expect WIS to make major changes in the future and hang on in the meantime? What obstacles do we face now that are glitches, and which are intentional? Apparently the halftime fatigue issue was somewhat of a glitch, as were the fouls.

What about the high 3-point %s people are reporting across the board? Should I change strategy and just recruit 3-point shooters? Or wait until WIS decides to fix it? Maddening.

Also, I'm glad I'm not in worlds where coaches were victims of the "Oops" problems before the above fixes. Bet many wish they could replay those games...

I'm only complaining because this should have been handled in the beta test. Instead, it appears to me that they made major changes after the beta test and didn't test them.

At least everyone is in the same boat.

And all these changes look positive. The 3pt% might take a little more time to figure out.

Perhaps reducing the IQ effect might reduce 3pt% some, if high offensive IQs were the cause. We'll see.

Posted my response to the high three point percentage in another thread. I'll copy and past here.

Submitted this ticket, hoping for Seble to review, just to make sure everything is working properly. I still think the percentage of threes being made is on the high side (I realize it's only been a couple of games, but still). Hopefully he'll take a look and check it out and either make an adjustment or let us know that everything is fine:

Hello, my user ID is dcy0827. Could you please direct this ticket to Seble's attention? I was wondering/hoping if he could check the three point shooting in the new engine? I realize it's only been a couple of games, but it seems like an extraordinary number of three point attempts are being made.

I'm not trying to whine or anything like that, just hoping that he could look into this. I love this game and just want to make sure that it's working as good as it possibly can. As I said, the number (percentage) of three point makes seems a bit on the high side at this point (others have noticed the same thing as well) and I wanted to point this out to him and so he can see what, if anything, needs to be adjusted.

Again, can you forward this ticket to Seble for his review? I would certainly appreciate it and thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. Thanks again.

First response from CS:

It looks like you shot well in game 2 mainly because your opponent played a 2-3 zone at -3 positioning. That leads to a lot of good looks from 3pt range.

My response back to CS:

It's not really my team I'm concerned about (although we did shoot a high percentage from three ourselves). What I was looking at was the fact that my opponent in that game shot 10-20 against a +2 Man-to-Man with me playing what would have to be considered to be pretty good defenders for D2. I totally realize that it could have been an aberration, or just "one of those games", but the percentage still seems awfully high given the players in question and their ratings/IQ's.

Also, in Allen last night, a Sim controlled Pacific team shot 14-17 fro beyond the arc against human coached Mississippi State. I don't care what kind of defense he was playing, that is WAY too extreme of a result. You could put those guys in an empty gym and they'd be hard pressed to repeat that performance. In another thread, coach MNiven stated that he gave up 7-9 threes while running a 3-2 Zone set at +2. Not alot of shots, but this still seems like a rather high percentage given the defense in question.

I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong, I just want to make absolutely sure that this part of the engine is working correctly. I love the engine so far, the only problem I've seen is the possibility that something is causing three point attempts to be made at a much higher rate than they should. Could you please, PLEASE have Seble go back and gather the stats from all the games played so far and check to make sure this part of the engine is working right and that I'm not losing my mind (which IS a distinct possibility)!

Thank you again for your time and consideration in this matter

Were these done because of customer’s complaints or is there really significant issues that need to be addressed. Not something that was found in just a few games. If it’s the latter I would like to see multiple examples of these problems and not single outcomes.

Respectfully thank you.

I know you aren't jumping the gun on saying the engine is broken dcy, just stating some concern, however I will say of my 8 games played in the new engine the only game it appeared 1 team shot way better than they should've was in our game. For example in my previous game Bushnell who went 4-6 from 3 against you went 1-7 against Adelphi who also played M2M +2. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the two games you cite are fluke occurences, at least that's my hope.

Just want them to look into it, that's all.
