All right, well, I need to gauge the trade interest in the following players, hopefully as a package for a big man (or potentially a three point bomber), before I decide my keepers.

Kiki Vandweghe: Has a great 90-91 followed by two pretty mediocre years before he is done.  Definitely for someone who can win now.

Kevin Edwards: 10 more productive, scoring seasons.

Vinnie Johnson:  Solid 90-91 and one more decent year off the bench.  Definitely more for a contender.

Darnell Valentine:  One more season left, pretty productive.

 Larry Smith:  Another great rebounding year in 90-91 followed by two more okay bench seasons.

Joe Wolf:  8 more season where he can eat minutes at the three front count positions.

Mike Brown: 4 more season where he can give solid minutes at PF and C.

Hopefully Edwards, Kiki and somebody else as a package can get me someone capable of helping out.

Well this would be the point were a crafty owner would trade away Larry Bird and others since the Pirates will not be able to contend. To my own determent I get attached to my players, but I am open to offer for Larry Bird if you would like to make one.

Again, Hakeem Olajuwon and Mark West are on the market for the right offers. 

I'm hoping for a mid- to late first rounder for West.  He's a great rotation big for a playoff team - extremely efficient, good rebounder and defender and blocks some shots here and there.

I've received several inquiries about (sob!) Hakeem, and at this point am waiting for the lottery results so I know what kind of talent might be available at whose draft spot.  I'm much more interested in future value than present, since the Shaolin have a long, slow climb ahead of them.

By the way, anyone else on my roster is also available, but pickings get slim after the two big guys.  Sam Vincent, Rod Higgins and Walter Davis all have a couple more seasons ahead of them as productive backups.
