my son and I play a lot of what if with real life players, we will give the 12 HD ratings to real life kids, either at his school - uw gb, other horizon league players, kids we coach in AAU, etc. We have sort of come to a conclusion that there really are a limited number of 'types' of players, with variation.
If one cannot get all nba ready guys, here is our conclusion for filling a 12 man team in the state of wisconsin:
2 midget pg's (you can't find 6'2" guys who are athletes and fast and bh/pa, but you can find quite a few 5'8"-10" guys)
3 6'2"-6'4" shooting / skilled wings
3 athletic / ps / def / reb wings of the same size
2 shooting / skilled big men
2 low skill even bigger men, with as much ath/sp as possible
of course this is a rough estimate, but many college teams are made up with this formula, the height of the players and depth of the ath / sp just varies.
I felt tarek sort of understood this 'type' issue, seble simply has turned a random number generator loose and he players we are getting make little sense to a basketball guy, lots of sense to a math guy - oh well - nice topic - good catch - you can try to write up a ticket - you do have a valid point?
