Not that anyone cares (this is frustrating to me as well :D) ... but when this sort of thing happens, it seems that during the execution of the normal game code at the normal time there is an error that causes the execution to "break out" and not run and there is also some kind of error.
Then there needs to be manual intervention to fix the "error" and be able to run the program.
I would not expect anyone to be in the office until the start of the work day in a case like this.
I understand that it sometimes happens ... it does not make it any easier to not be upset if you are staying awake to see an outcome and it gets delayed, but I understand how it can happen,
