I thought this might be fun
Career WAR (Wins Above Replacement) Draft League
I'm taking the
TOP 1000 Career WAR Leaders from baseballreference.com and breaking it into
groups of 40 players per round. 25 rounds times 40 players equals the Top 1000 of which 600 will be used 25 Players x 24 Teams=600 .
http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/WAR_career.shtml
-Round by Round there will be 40 players available, only 24 will be drafted...1 per team.
-You can use
any season of your pick that you like.
-
$120 Million Cap
-60 Live Minimum for Playoffs, Playoffs Must be Played Live
-No DH, Yes to Trades, No AAA
-Random Draft Order
-Forum Draft
-Your Stadium will be the Stadium in which your First Round Pick Played in the Season of His you use.
I havn't checked exactly, but I'm not sure how many
Catchers, Closers, etc there are, so be aware when drafting that certain positions may have a higher premium due to scarcity....Either way, there are plenty of Innings Pitched and AB's/PA's to draft teams.
**PLAYERS NOT SELECTED IN A ROUND ARE OUT OF THE DRAFT AND WILL NOT BE USED** there will be 16 of these players per round So, some Very good players will not get selected
