D1 is broken and the press is a little less magic.

The press is now even easier to gameplan against than it was before.

How is d1 broken ? (sorry im lazy, using my phone and don't want to read every b thread)

I'll let you know after this Phelan season.  Just switched my U of Detroit team to combo/man.  Press seems to take a huge step forward at around a B (it's brutal before), so my theory is to get the press up to B and then dump into zone or man and you should be golden.

Yeah I remember that around B/B+ Press really started to kick in. I was considering switching my Gonzaga team in Phelan to m2m/press and then decide if it was worth going to fcp or not. We just don't have the talent right now to run with any top team and I still haven't gotten my head around the drastically slower recruits yet.

They changed the recruit generation and in d1 if you dont have alot of big 6 tourney $ its tough(impossible) to compete year in and year out.  Ee's still suck so if at a midmajor you do get good recruits they will likely leave early anyways.  So you can compete once every few seasons at best.  Ruined d1 at any level below a big conf.  Press is still effective but they changed stamina and that is a huge issue in the press.  Iq's always been important so its the same.

Boosters are still the same ;-)

Haha thanks. Yeah I was around for a little of the new recruits, I couldn't get back in a power conference so I settled for gonzaga

of course, there is always the, 'you're back, were you ever here?' card one can play, Z game is a bit different, but probably 90-95% the same, it is pretty hard year in and year out to put together a fcp team that wins in d1, I would think in d2 / d3 it can be done almost same as ever, although you do limit some of your options for gettting core skills, as fewer complete players exist - i.e. those great at ath/sp/def/stam as well as all the core skills
