pj i certainly don't have the resume or experience of some of these other coaches....so take anything i tell you with a grain of salt
...but like skunk i don't really recruit SF's or actively look for LP in my guards. However, while I have a relatively small sample over the last few months, I do feel like my guards who have developed some low post game over the course of time have become more efficient scorers. For instance take a look at Eric Briggs on my EConn team in Phelan. He is +24 in LP this season as my starting SG and while his distro hasn't changed much if at all over the entire season, his scoring efficiency and totals have definitely improved from the beginning of the season up until now.
so, while having no LP game (and even having no LP potential) won't dissuade me from recruiting a guard, i don't think it's completely useless to try and develop it if you have a player with high potential in LP
