Hoops Dynasty and Sleep!! Topic

I haven't seen anything on this before, and I don't really think it's a big deal, but certianly something I've noticed over the last few years.

Anybody else automatically wake up around simulation time in the middle of the night?  I am pretty sure my body is trained to wake after the AM games.  I'm managing it pretty well since I got an Ipad, since I don't even have to get out of bed to check the scores.

I was just thinking about it this morning, and thought is was a bit funny.  And I'm tired...

I wish I could remember the coach who told this  hilarious story. His wife was in labor, unfortunately, during recruiting.  Whenever the doctors left the room, he'd use the hospital computer to check on his recruits. When they returned, he'd sign off and pretend he was looking at his wife's chart.

I woke up at 3 this morning and rolled over so I could check the game on my iPhone...so yes, my body does do that haha.

those late simulation issues a few months ago must have turned your sleeping situation upside down

I love the one or two nights a week I go out drinking because I almost always get home around 2:30am, then I have a nice buzz going to read about my games. But most of the time I just wait until the morning

I never really go to bed before 1 or 2, and sim times are 1 AM (Naismith) and 1:25-1:30 AM (Allen) for me.  So I haven't had that problem.

Yeah, that was a good one.

I think it affects more people during recruiting, when a lot can change between 1 a.m. (Central time) and 4 a.m. or 7 a.m. The game results don't change, so they can wait until breakfast.

I am quite thankful for the guy who posted in the newbies forum that that the most practical approach to late-night recruiting is to get up at 3:45, do your thing, wait until the update, then do your thing again and be back in the sack by 4:15. As long as the sim runs on time, you can preserve both your sanity and your marriage.

Yep, if I'm home from school (home is in British Columbia, School is in Ontario), then I might stay up, but if I am at school, unless its a friday night or saturday night and i come home from GTL'n and fist pumping late at night then I am like "yessss don't have to wait until morning".

But it is a tradition in my house, wake up, check Suffolk, eat breakfast, start day.

I too enjoy...well used to enjoy waking up in the middle of the night...it being past 2 AM ET, I could check my scores...see a victory, say "yeah muf*cka" and go back to sleep smiling...now for whatever reason on my cheap phone, I cannot view any webpages with pulldown menus...it won't even load up my website
