Absolutely, check out the Midwest conference. Solid group.

Upstate:
best conference in all HD.  but full

Michigan:
great conference and always battling it out with the Upstate.  they *might* have one opening when new coach signups arrive

NAC:
very top heavy.  6 humans, 6 sims.  6 NT team, 6 not so NT teams.  very active, competitive conference and probably a best bet, if the Michigan is full

Midwest:
another solid conference.  5 humans, 7 sims.  all 5 humans are LONG TERM coaches.  the shortest tenure is steveatdsm who coaches Illinois.  He's been there 21 season.  The other 4 coaches have been around for 30+ seasons.  they have one spot filled (at least) but are another great choice to join

Little East:
has 6 or 7 coaches that are all active in the CC.  collectively the conference is a notch below the other four, but up coming

Minnestoa:
has 4 or 5 coaches that have been around a while.  active CC and fairly competitive amongst the top teams in the conference

Southern California:
with some new additions, this conference is trying to creep up on the big boys.  its a few years away, but this is a good chance to get in on the bottom floor

Consider the Minnesota, we got hit hard by some long time coaches leaving the last few seasons, but have 3 A- prestige teams now, a few more owners would take us really far 

i would like to look at the best teams available in each of those conferences. is there any way to do this?

btw im looking to be long term in D3, so ill be around for a very long time

you should be able to sort available teams by conference, and look at them that way...

but it's not accepting new owners yet, so I can't go into the world.....

yeah, sorry-- we're in the dead period for you. Wait til they're accepting new coaches-- kinda the only easy way to do it.

Otherwise, you can go in through coach IDs to look at teams-- whoever posted on this thread likely has a d3 wooden team, you can look at their opponents, etc etc. Pain in the butt, but it would give you something to do...

If you're looking for a quick winner there really isn't one, all of the sim teams are C prestige or lower.  If you are planning to be a long term coach, they will all be good enough over time as long as it runs the O and D you want.

You can rely on a few tournament teams every year I'd say though so money isn't a huge issue. We certainly aren't the top conference in Wooden, but we have potential to be with the strong owners we have. Just grab one of the sim teams and give it a few seasons.
